My last day with this wonderful book. This book has changed my life. Does it answer all four questions? Yes! It brought me closer to God, it changed my heart, it drew me into the scriptures, and is this book based on the gospel of Jesus Christ? The last one is a bit tricky.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon), we don’t believe in the Trinity. We believe that God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are separate and distinct personages, not one person manifested three different ways. With that being said, as I read David’s book and from the way he wrote it, it’s easy to substitute my personal beliefs into what he was explaining, so it still made sense to me. He does talk quite a bit about the Trinity, but not in a way that leaves no room for me to believe what I believe. That’s one thing great about “good” books. This book brought me closer to God because some of David’s supporting scriptures are ones we also use to explain that they are different beings. It’s strange how that can happen, but it does, far more frequently than you might think.
I’m going to read this book again. Maybe not next week, but soon. Actually, next week I am going out of town for two weeks, so there will be no new posts or graphic blocks on my Instagram account for that time period. I’m really excited! Have a wonderful two weeks and I’ll be back soon – with a brand new book to review. I hope you’ll join me.
