I am not new to blogging. I started my first blog in 2002 as our family embarked on an adventure of unknown length, to somewhere, after selling 90% of what we owned and piling us, our four young children, two cats, and four bikes into a big old camper on the back of an even older big old Ford truck. We spent eight weeks driving the West Coast, not knowing where we were headed, but that’s another story for another day.
So, here’s me: I am happily married to my high school sweetheart and we have four children, who have somehow almost all become adults. I have worked countless jobs, been a stay at home mom most of the time, homeschooled some of the time, and have spent all of it trying to keep my life focused on the people and things I value most.
I enjoy SO many things – bullet journaling, growing, learning, setting goals, reading, journaling, cooking, reading, studying my scriptures, drawing, doodling, reading, gardening, collecting art work, Project Life scrapbooking, reading, writing my blog, creating quote blocks for Instagram, and being with my family.
I have also been enjoying Ali Edward’s “One Little Word” idea for a few years now. For 2017, mine is not a word at all – 21/90. I am pretty impatient and I have a whole list of character traits I want to possess NOW. If I can remember it takes 21 days to create a habit and 90 days for it to become a lifestyle, then I’m much more gentle with myself.
Here’s to 2017! May it be full of good health, happy memories to record, and deep and lasting joy in the journey.
